In the second semester, Green Book introduced a new and fun practice in the Children’s Cafeteria: kids now have the opportunity to serve themselves directly from salad bowls! This initiative aims not only to encourage the little ones’ autonomy but also to promote healthy eating in a playful and engaging way.
The salad bowls are carefully prepared with a colorful and nutritious variety of vegetables, giving the children the freedom to choose what they want to add to their plates. This active choice process fosters the development of confidence and independence while allowing each child to explore new flavors and textures at their own pace.
Green Book’s educational team has been closely monitoring this new practice, noticing how the children engage with the activity. “It’s amazing to see their excitement when choosing what to put on their plates. This practice not only encourages autonomy but also creates a learning and discovery environment during meals,” shares one of the Early Childhood Education teachers.
The introduction of the salad bowls is another step by Green Book to create an educational environment that values the holistic development of children, focusing not only on academic growth but also on fostering healthy eating habits that will stay with them for life.
We are excited about the positive results we’ve already seen and will continue investing in practices that prioritize the health and well-being of our students. Stay tuned to our social media for more updates!
