Field trip to the “City of Books”

Last week, the KII and 1st-grade classes of our school had a truly magical and unforgettable day! In celebration of International Literacy Day, which takes place in September, we took our children on an unparalleled adventure to the “City of Books.” This journey filled with learning and fun showed all of us how reading is a powerful tool that opens doors to a world full of possibilities and creativity.

Our little explorers began the day with eager smiles and hearts full of anticipation. The first stop was with Grandma Cotinha, a friendly figure who, with the special participation of the students, created an unusual and creative story!

Next, our young adventurers met the mayor of the City of Books and the tricky “Tracinha.” Throughout the tour, it became clear that reading is a key that unlocks the doors to knowledge and imagination. Each page of a book is a window to a different world, filled with exciting adventures and captivating characters. Our children learned that through reading, they can travel to distant places, meet incredible people, and explore the deepest corners of their own minds.

This day in the City of Books was a celebration of the love for reading and the importance of literacy in our lives. It showed our children that even though they are young, they have the power to write their own stories and create a bright future through learning.

Here’s to many more magical days of learning and fun for our young readers!
