3 aulas que compõem a grade curricular

3 classes that are part of the Green Book’s Early Childhood Education curriculum

Many people, when visiting the Green Book’s Early Childhood Education campus, are (positively!) surprised to see the complete curriculum of all grades, from Nursery I. Therefore, we have selected three classes that are led by specialist teachers, graduates in the area, which are part of the curriculum of all Early Childhood Education students.

1. DRAMA CLASS

Drama Class is an important pedagogical didactic resource for the development of children, supporting their trajectory in social life, providing new experiences that contribute to the integral growth of the child in several aspects (SANTOS 2012). The classes, which encourage children to express themselves, also promote creativity, confidence and autonomy. During classes, communication skills are developed in a natural and playful way. Feelings and emotions are also recurring themes in classes, helping children to identify and name them. Drama classes are conducted weekly, in English, by a drama teacher.

2. MUSIC CLASS

Twice a week, Early Childhood Education students have music lessons. Classes are conducted in English by an expert teacher. When we think about the benefits of music classes in Early Childhood Education, the list that forms is huge! From stimulating general concentration, to speech development and vocabulary expansion, contact with different sounds, rhythms and instruments expands the child’s universe. Another point that few know is that music has a strong relationship with logic and mathematics when the child is exposed, for example, to the pulse and rhythmic regularity of music. All this helps in the development of logical-mathematical reasoning without any effort!

3. PHYSICAL EDUCATION

A few posts ago, we talked about the importance of Physical Education (https://www.greenbookschool.com.br/comunicacao/green-blog/educacao-fisica-para-que/) in children’s routine, from early childhood. In our Early Childhood Education, children have two weekly classes, led by a Physical Education teacher. During classes, through movement games, students socialize and exercise the notion of group work. All this, of course, while exercising their bodies and developing motor coordination.
